The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. The religion, which will be based on experience, will refuse to be dogmatic.

Try not to become a person of success, but rather a person of value.

After long study and experience, I have come to the conclusion that
(1) all religions are true; (2) all religions have some error in
them; (3) all religions are almost as dear to me as my own Hinduism,
in as much as all human beings should be as dear to one as one's own
close relatives.

I am not at all concerned with appearing to be consistent. In my
pursuit after Truth I have discarded many ideas and learnt many new
things.

God has no religion.

The wicked leader is he who the people despise. The good leader is he who the people revere. The great leader is he who the people say, we did it ourselves.

Chanting is no more holy than listening to the murmur of a stream, counting prayer beads no more sacred than simply breathing. . . . If you wish to attain oneness with the Tao, don't get caught up in spiritual superficialities.

If you really want everything, then give up everything.

Tao can be talked about, but not the Eternal Tao.
Names can be named, but not the Eternal Name.
As the origin of heaven-and-earth, it is nameless:
As "the Mother" of all things, it is nameable.
So, as ever hidden, we should look at its inner aspects.
As always manifest, we should look at its outer aspects.
These two flow from the same source,
though differently named;
And both are called mysteries.
The Mystery of mysteries is the Door of all essence.

People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
